What is cosmetic surgery?

Cosmetic surgery is usually performed as an outpatient operation. It may involve

local anesthetics and sedatives or general anesthesia.

The procedure may take two to five hours, and the person can usually return home

on the same day after surgery.

In traditional cosmetic surgery, the surgeon cuts in front of the ear, extending

upward to the hair or hairline and behind the ear, into the scalp of the hair.

The surgeon lifts the skin from deeper facial muscles and fat, gently pulls the skin

upward and backward, and removes excess skin. They may tighten deeper tissue in

the face.

A small incision or incision can be made under the chin to tighten the skin and

deeper tissue of the neck. This is called neck lift.

The incision is then closed with sutures and possible nails. Drainage pipes can be

placed under the skin behind the ear for one to two days to remove excess blood

and fluids. Bandage is used.

Plastic or wrinkle removal is a kind of cosmetic surgery, which aims to make the face younger.

It remodels the lower half of the face by removing excess facial skin.

Rhytidectomy can tighten loose skin around the jaw line, also known as the

"mandible". It also removes deep wrinkles around the mouth and nose, as well as

excessive dangling skin and fat under the chin and neck.

It also tightens the underlying tissue and can be combined with surgery to enhance

the forehead, cheeks, eyebrows and eyelids.

Continuously develop new methods to improve cosmetic surgery. Many of these

procedures claim to be faster and easier to recover, but they are usually

modifications to traditional cosmetic procedures.

Laser is sometimes used in neck lifting procedures, called laser neck and jaw fat

sculpture and surface reconstruction.

This is usually done under local anesthesia through an inch incision under the chin.

Lasers are used to melt some of the fat under the chin and tighten the skin in amore

elevated way.

Endoscopy can be used for facial and eyebrow lifting. Smaller incisions can be

achieved with small cameras. This means less trauma to the tissue and less recovery

time.

The forehead skin can be raised through a small incision in the hairline of the

forehead. It is then lifted and fixed to deeper tissue to prevent further sagging or

sagging.

Liposuction removes focal deposits of facial fat, usually between the chin and neck.It

can be done as part of a cosmetic procedure or as a separate procedure.

Mini-cosmetic surgery is a less invasive procedure that aims to improve wrinkles and

flabby skin in the lower face. Because it involves a small S-shaped incision around

the ear, it does not solve neck sagging or redundant skin problems.

Scar and recovery time may be shorter than traditional cosmetic procedures.

People often combine cosmetic surgery with eyelid surgery and other facial surgery.
